MUNISS 2010 is around the corner!!

In 2007, after attending another wonderful international MUN conference, on the train back to Stuttgart, the ISS delegation started talking about how great it would be to have our own conference. By the time the train pulled into the Stuttgart Station a few hours later, MUNISS had been born!

Our first 2008 conference had as its focus the International Polar Year. Our distinguished speakers and the issues on the agenda reflected this focus.

In 2009 MUNISS took as its theme the problems in Latin America (see newspaper article) because we felt that the problems in this area of the world are sometimes ignored by the international press.

This year, MUNISS will focus on the problems in and around the Middle East. We look forward to enlightening and spirited discussion on these very complex issues in February 2010! We at MUNISS have made a conscious decision to have distinct themes for each of our conferences. We feel this not only makes it easier for beginning delegations to research the appropriate issues and represent their countries, but also we all as MUN participants can have a deeper understanding of these crucial problems of today to make us more able to solve them in the future.
