college & career guidance
ISS offers career guidance services to students in 9th grade through 12th grade. The aim is to ensure that students are guided in their choices of academic programmes, as well as to explore students' interests and strengths early in their high school years. Students are assisted in making informed career and study choices during their last two years of high school.

9th Grade: Students are supported in exploring personal interests and strengths which need to be taken into consideration when making decisions about future academic programme choices, as well as decisions regarding the pursuit of studies at the university level. In addition, students are familiarized with their choices for studies in 11th and 12th grade.

10th Grade: Students are informed about the academic options available to them in 11th and 12th grade. They are supported in making informed decisions about the academic programmes most suited to their needs, interests, and abilities. To this end, the Step One Ltd. career/interest assessment is administered to all 10th graders in the spring.

11th and 12th Grades: Students meet with the Guidance Counselor to discuss career interests, study/training plans, and available options. Students are supported in the selection of suitable colleges/universities and the subsequent application process. SAT I, SAT II, and ACT examinations, as well as the PSAT, are administered on site at times coordinated with the testing institutions.
