instrumental program
Over the last 10 years ISS has set up a well-qualified and multi-lingual group of instrumental teachers who teach individual or group lessons after the normal close of school. The range of instruments taught has grown rapidly and in some cases we now have several teachers per instrument offering lessons every day of the week. The instruments taught are offered on a "supply upon demand" basis - we will seek a teacher if we have enough students interested.

Instruments currently being taught include piano, violin, flute, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, drums and trombone. Voice training lessons are also offered. Students taking part in the programe are encouraged to join the school band (Mondays 15.30 - 16.30 p.m.) to enjoy cross grade socializing and gain valuable ensemble practice. More advanced string players can audition for the school string ensemble (Mondays 16.30 - 17.15 p.m.). Students are given ample opportunity to perform either during performance lessons held once a month in class, at school assemblies or in various evening recitals held throughout the year.
