model united nations (MUN)
The Model United Nations is a consistently popular extracurricular activity for students from 8th to 12th grade. MUN offers students the opportunity to learn about the workings of the United Nations Organisation and widen their knowledge of current global affairs, while honing important debating skills.

In MUN debates students take on roles as diplomatic representatives of a country. They work in teams to investigate international issues, to debate, consult, and work towards developing agreed solutions.

ISS students have been regular and successful participants in MUN debates both within Germany and throughout Europe and ISS has hosted MUN conferences for the last two years ands will be doing so again in February 2010 - see MUNISS for details.
