 ISS was founded in 1985 and has over 20 years of experience of providing quality education in an international setting. We are proud to be able to describe ourselves as an IB World School and count ourselves amongst only around 100 schools worldwide that are authorized to deliver all three International Baccalaureate programmes. Following externally evaluated implementation periods, we have been authorized to deliver the IB Diploma Programme since 1998, the Primary Years Programme since 2004 and the Middle Years Programme since February 2007. This authorization is tied to a cycle of evaluation by the International Baccalaureate Organisation.The school gained accredited status with the Council of International Schools and with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in the year 2001. Schools awarded and wishing to retain this accredited status undergo a continuing 5- and 10-year cycle of both self and external evaluation against a comprehensive range of standards ranging from governance and finance through curriculum to health and safety. ISS has been approved by the State of Baden-Württemberg as a staatlich anerkannte Ergänzungsschule since 1991. |
