The International School of Stuttgart is one school located on 2 campuses. The ISS Sindelfingen campus is situated 20 km to the west of Stuttgart in Sindelfingen. Founded in 2003, ISS Sindelfingen is a private Kindergarten and school offering a dual language (English / German) programme to both globally-mobile and local internationally-minded families. The programme is unique in international schools in Germany and is designed to help native and non-native English and German speakers become bilingual and biliterate. Core curriculum content is covered in an English and German team-teaching environment.

Research indicates that dual language teaching programmes are extremely effective in helping students learn additional languages well and provides astounding evidence that bilingual students outperform mono-lingual students in the long term (Thomas and Collier, 2004; Center for Applied Linguistics, 2005; Lindholm-Leary, 2000).

ISS Sindelfingen currently offers classes from the Early Learning Centre (3 year olds) to 9th Grade and plans to expand to 10th Grade as demand dictates, after which students will transfer to Degerloch for the IB Diploma program.

The school is situated on the "Goldberg", Sindelfingen in Hallenser Straße 2. This is a 25 minute walk to the town center and a 7 minute walk to the S-Bahn. The direct S-Bahn link takes 22 minutes to reach the center of Stuttgart. We have a partnership with the local Böblingen Sport Verein (Association) and use their sports facilities and teaching staff for our Middle School sports lessons.
